Anyone know the secret to stopping this Avis scam?

I just came home after many weeks on the road to find a letter from Avis claiming I owe them $450 for a car cleaning. I rent from Avis every week. Before I call/email/write a letter, does anyone have any experience with this? No, I didn’t take any pictures of my car! I rent a car every week from them, sometimes twice or more depending on how many cities I have to visit that week, and after more than a year, this is the first I’ve seen this.
