Which Cruise from Southampton, range of ages and interests!? - Cruises Forum
Southampton is a great port to (ta && ta.queueForLoad ? ta.queueForLoad : )(, 'log_autolink_impression');cruise from. Easy to park at with lots of options and so easy to get on board and start your vacation. We did the Mediterranean this year in May with P&O on Arvia. Unfortunately wasn’t impressed with the food so wouldn’t cruise on that particular ship again. Entertainment however was good. Last year we also did the Mediterranean but different ports with Princess on Sky and their food was very good. We’ve also booked the Canaries so that might also be up for consideration. P&O offer a price where all tips are included which is in contrast to Princess whereby you can attend Guest Services once on board to ask for all gratuities to be cancelled and chose who you independently wish to tip. We don’t have the drinks package because neither of us are big drinkers but have to say the prices on Arvia were very decent. Princess alcohol prices IMO were high. I would be looking at the Mediterranean or Canary Islands. Don’t forget to look for cruise insurance as opposed to standard insurance so that any missed ports are covered. Cruising is a great way to sample all the different countries and I’m sure you will become addicted.
