Do you ever allow pets?
We are newer hosts and have a weeklong booking coming up in a few days. The guest just messaged us saying their pet sitter cancelled and figured she would ask if they could bring the dog. Itโs a three year old shitzu. Would you absolutely say no or do you ever make exceptions? We are thinking about saying yes with a pet deposit. If we are crazy, tell us! Any experience welcome. Also, our home is nice but not fancy. Itโs a family friendly place but does have brand new furniture and carpeting. Update: thank you to everyone who responded. It has helped. We donโt feel like we are ready to take the risk right now but would open to it in the future. We have a guest checking in the same day they check out. Thanks!
