Does a long trip help with burnout?

I've been working or looking for work nonstop for the last decade. I have been able to take occasional trips two times per year, but they're never more than two and a half weeks long. I'm pretty burnt out, and I'm being pushed out of my job as a result. Those of you who were burnt out after 7+ years of working, did a 6/12-month+ trip help you return refreshed and ready to grind? Or did it give you a better perspective? I'm ready to go, but I don't know what will be on the other side. --- **Post Details:** - **Subreddit:** r/solotravel - **Author:** u/MyBossSawMyOldName - **Score:** 6 upvotes - **Upvote Ratio:** 71.0% - **Comments:** 19 - **Posted:** 7/13/2025 - **URL:** https://reddit.com/r/solotravel/comments/1lydblr/does_a_long_trip_help_with_burnout/
