Is it normal to feel this way before a big trip? First time backpacking.
I’m about to head off on my first ever trip overseas. Got my visa to live and work in the UK, and before that I’ll be backpacking Europe for 3–6 months depending on money. I’ve talked about it for ages. Everyone around me knows I’m doing it. But now that it’s actually here—I don’t feel excited. I feel off. It’s not nerves or butterflies or holiday energy. It’s more just… blank and a bit uncomfortable. I’ve never done anything like this before. I don’t know what to expect, and I think that’s what’s throwing me. I fly into Spain and have about 6 days planned, but then nothing. I thought I’d figure it out as I go—meet people, take suggestions, stay flexible. But now I’m wondering if that’s dumb for a first trip. Has anyone else felt like this before a big move or first trip? What helped? ^regardless I am doing it
