Wise for transferring money from SEPA to non-SEPA
Hello everyone, I'm currently living in France, and I would like to transfer money to Turkey. I have a bank account in France with a French bank. For years, I've been using Wise to transfer small amounts (250-500 euros) of money to my bank account in Turkey. It is working as expected, and I can see the transferred money immediately in my bank account in Turkey, literally within minutes. However, this time I would need to send 7000 euros, which is quite big. Given the fact that there are many horror stories with Western Union, MoneyGram, or Wise, I would like to know your experience with such an amount (or close to it). I would like to add that I don't have either a bank account with Wise or a credit card. I simply possess an account for transferring money. Is Wise trustworthy enough to send this amount of money? I mean, has anyone experienced such a transaction recently? If you had problems, were you able to get back your money? Note: Some people might say that I should use a bank transfer, which I agree with due to safety concerns. Because it is a SWIFT transfer, the charges for this transfer are so high (between 400-700 euros). That is why I'm looking for a solution.
